Dear KOCSEA members,
As most of you would already know, there will be an election for the 39th KSEA President and administration in this April. In this election, I am very pleased to support Dr. Jae Hoon Kim for the 39th KSEA President.
Dr. Kim is currently an Executive and a Senior Technical Fellow in Boeing Research & Technology, Seattle, WA. He also serves as Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington and as Associate Editor of IEEE Communications Letter monthly technical journal.
Not only has he been extremely successful throughout his career, he has also flourished in his many social activities. He has been serving KSEA by taking various positions and roles including Chapter President, Technical Group Counselor, Contest, Scholarship, Nomination Committee members and Chair, Northwest Regional Conference founding chair, UKC Communications & Networking Technology Symposium Chair. Dr. Kim has founded Mathematics Competition at the Pacific Northwest Chapter and has been a key contributor to make it nationwide competition (see attached candidate Statement).
In short, Dr. Kim maintains an extensive track of services to the Korean community and is an ideal candidate for the president of KSEA. As a result, his services have been recognized through the Korean Presidential award (by President Myung-Bak Lee) in 2008 and the "Asian-American Engineer of the Year" award in 2009. These are only a small portion of his track records. Please review attached his candidate statement for more detailed information.
Further, Dr. Kim is very supportive of KOCSEA and the relationship between KOCSEA and KSEA will strengthen under his leadership. In support of Dr. Kim’s candidacy, I would like to ask for your participation in the KSEA president election.
Regards,
Taek Jin Kwon President of KOCSEA 2009
